Mazars re-elects Phil Verity as senior partner

This will reportedly be the third consecutive term that Phil Verity will serve as senior partner, having been elected by 130 UK partners from the firm

Mazars has announced that Phil Verity has been re-elected as senior partner of Mazars and will commence a four-year term in February 2021.

This will be the third consecutive term that Verity will serve as senior partner, having been elected by 130 UK partners from the firm. Additionally, he has also been re-elected to the Mazars group executive board, which is responsible for global oversight and management.

Since he was first appointed as senior partner, the firm has doubled in size, achieved “prominence” as a challenger firm, built foundations as a sustainable and diverse organisation, as well as reinforcing its positioning as part of a global rebrand.

Verity said: “Leading the firm as Senior Partner is a real privilege and hugely rewarding. Mazars is making strong inroads into each of our strategic markets, powered by a talented team of people.

“Across all levels of the firm, this is the strongest team I have worked with and, in the midst of a pandemic, we have demonstrated resilience and flexibility, while supporting our clients and team throughout a challenging time.”

He added: “We look forward to the next four years with excitement and optimism: we have clear strategic ambitions in our markets, a strong and distinctive brand, and a talented team with the vision and expertise to achieve our goal of being the right fit for our people and our clients.

“We will continue to develop as a modern, progressive firm which values and offers different perspectives to a range of clients.”
