UHY strengthens Manchester partner team

Ryan Wear has been appointed as audit partner, bringing ‘significant’ sector expertise in automotive, retail, hospitality, manufacturing and construction

UHY Hacker Young has strengthened the partner team at its Manchester office through the appointment of Ryan Wear as audit partner, as the firm looks to deliver “considerable” growth into 2021.

Wear brings with him experience at the ‘Big four’ and ‘Top 10’ tier firms, advising a client portfolio that has included listed companies, privately owned businesses, family owned and private equity backed organisations, operating both nationally and internationally.

According to UHY, he brings “significant” sector expertise in automotive, retail, hospitality, manufacturing and construction, and joins the team to add additional strength to these national specialist areas on which the firm currently advises.

Commenting on his appointment, Wear said: “UHY Hacker Young’s Manchester team is highly regarded across the North West and nationally within sector specialisms and is renowned for providing valuable advice and insights to clients.

“I’m excited to be working with such a well-respected team across the region, and I look forward to being involved in a diverse range of projects. The decision to join the firm was instinctive for me.”

Mark Robertson, managing partner at UHY Hacker Young Manchester, said: “I am delighted Ryan has decided to join us. Ryan has a wealth of knowledge and looks to utilise his unique blend of experience to bring a commercial and strategic approach to client engagements.

“He will be a valuable addition to our existing strong team in driving the succession of UHY Hacker Young and significant growth of our audit team by 15-20%”.
