Dudley-based accountancy firm, AGS, has advised Credible Media on the sale of Revolution 96.2 to Bauer Media and subsequently, on its further investment, into the Oldham Evening Chronicle.

According to AGS, the station, which covers Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside, was purchased by Credible in 2014. Following the sale, the station is now being re-branded as Greatest Hits Radio.

Credible Media will now be investing further in the Oldham Evening Chronicle, which it bought out in 2018.

Matt Ramsbottom, managing director at Credible Media stated that the sale of Revolution will help them deliver, “through the Oldham Chronicle, truly local audiences via traditional and digital platforms for years to come”.

He said:“This was a complex transaction with wide-ranging implications for our clients, for Bauer and for local communities in Greater Manchester.”

Steve Aston, director at AGS, added: “We have worked with Credible Media on several deals and for over six years now.

“This was a complex transaction with wide-ranging implications for our clients, for Bauer and for local communities in Greater Manchester. We are pleased to have contributed to another successful outcome for all involved.”
