Industry regulator the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has appointed two new council members.

Liz Murrall has been appointed chair of the corporate reporting council with effect from 5 July. She is also director of stewardship and reporting at the Investment Association, the trade body representing the UK investment management industry.

Andrew Kail has joined the audit and assurance council with effect from 1 June, he is the head of financial services and senior audit partner at PwC, with oversight for the firm’s activities across asset and wealth management, banking, insurance and real estate.

He has also worked extensively across financial services providing advice on strategy, financial controls, regulation and corporate transactions.
