S&W has appointed Ben Hanslip as a partner within its forensic services practice, who joins the firm from Kroll, where he previously led maritime valuation operations.
Hanslip has experience in expert witness services and maritime valuation. He has acted in proceedings before the High Court and the London Maritime Arbitration Association.
His technical background includes work in investigations, disputes, and alternative asset advisory, and he has worked across sectors including renewables, oil and gas, aviation, and pharmaceuticals.
The appointment follows expansion in the S&W forensic division. Hanslip will work alongside the existing dispute team to provide fixed asset valuation and technical analysis for clients.
Hanslip said: “I am excited to be joining S&W’s outstanding forensic services team. I look forward to working with colleagues across the practice to deliver the independent, rigorous analysis that clients expect.”
Chris Osborne, partner and co-head of forensic services at S&W, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ben to the forensic services team. He is a fantastic addition and further strengthens our dispute capabilities.”
Nicholas Good, partner and head of disputes at S&W, added: “I am thrilled to welcome Ben to the practice. He brings proven experience as a testifying expert witness as well as deep technical specialism.”
John Rugman, partner and head of advisory at S&W, concluded: “I am delighted that Ben is joining our fast-growing forensics team. S&W is growing its market share in this space very rapidly.”
