Motherwell-based Accountants Plus has appointed Mark Mulholland as a partner. Mulholland specialises in the charity and agricultural sectors and is a registered auditor.
The firm was founded in 2001 by senior partner Bryan Wood. It now has an annual turnover of nearly £3m and employs more than 35 staff.
Accountants Plus has recorded average compound growth of 10% since its launch. The firm provides tax planning, growth funding, and business sales advice.
Mulholland joined the firm on 13 April 2026. He previously spent 25 years working with accounting firms in Glasgow as a business advisory and audit partner.
Wood said: “We continue to experience sustained demand for our services from owner-managed businesses and charities throughout Scotland and in appointing Mark as a partner our aim is to enhance the strength and breadth of our professional offering both to existing and prospective clients.
“Mark has operated as a high-level business advisory and audit partner within long established accounting firms in Glasgow over the past twenty-five years and his insight and expertise, notably in both the charities and agricultural sectors, represents a significant boost for our clients.”
Mulholland added: “I am very pleased to have been appointed a partner in Accountants Plus. This is a remarkable firm with a record-breaking level of growth over the recent past, a client list of high-achieving entrepreneurial businesses across Lanarkshire and the west of Scotland, an ever-expanding portfolio of public and not for profit organisations, and a fierce ambition to be best in class in every interaction it has with its clients.
“It’s a very exciting prospect for me to play a substantial part in that ambitious but highly achievable aim.”
