Pierce Business Advisory and Accountancy Group has appointed Fiona Wheeler as private client tax director.

The move marks the firm’s third senior appointment of the year and is intended to strengthen its support for personal tax and wealth planning.

Wheeler is a chartered tax adviser and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

She joins the firm from a Manchester-based accountancy B Corp, where she served as a senior manager in private client advisory.

In her new role, Wheeler will oversee inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and income tax compliance for individuals and families.

Her professional background includes senior roles at several firms across the North West, with a focus on estate planning and strategic tax advice.

Wheeler said: “I’m delighted to be joining Pierce Business Advisory and Accountancy Group at an exciting time for the firm. I’m looking forward to working with clients and colleagues to deliver tailored solutions that protect wealth and support their goals.”

Dominic Ball, tax director at Pierce, added: “Fiona’s appointment is a significant step forward for our private client offering.

“Her technical strength across inheritance tax, capital gains tax and income tax – combined with her approach to understanding what matters most to each client – makes her an excellent fit for Pierce.”
