Henderson Loggie has appointed Christine Rolland as head of forensic accounting to lead the firm’s specialist advisory services and expand its forensic reporting capacity for legal firms.

Rolland, who has been a director at the firm for six years, brings 17 years of experience in expert witness work, including business interruption claims, contentious valuations, and complex financial investigations.

In her new role, she will oversee the development of the forensic accounting offering across Scotland and the wider UK.

She is supported by Peter Graham and the newly appointed Natalie Grant, who joins the firm as an assistant manager to increase the division’s technical analysis and reporting capacity for solicitors and the courts.

The expansion of the team follows a two-year period of increased demand for independent financial analysis in litigation

The firm’s forensic practice works in direct collaboration with legal professionals to provide valuations and investigative reporting that meet judicial requirements.

According to Henderson Loggie, the addition of an assistant manager is intended to streamline the delivery of high-quality analysis, ensuring that legal teams have access to timely expert evidence.

Rolland said: “The need for independent and technically robust analysis continues to grow as legal teams recognise the value we bring to complex cases. I am looking forward to continuing to work with solicitors and counsel as they support their clients.

“Strengthening the team puts us in a position to meet the sustained increase in demand for our services that we have seen over the last two years while maintaining standards of work, and I am to help develop forensic accounting specialists.”

David Smith, managing partner at Henderson Loggie, added: “Christine is a specialist in her field, and her experience will be as we continue to grow this area of the business. Her appointment, together with the expansion of the team, underlines our commitment to investing in the expertise our clients rely on and in the development of our people. We are pleased to welcome Natalie to the firm as we strengthen the foundations for growth.”
