Accountancy firm Mercer and Hole has appointed Shaun Walker as restructuring and insolvency director.

Based in London, Walker joins the firm with experience in corporate recovery, insolvency and debt management.

Walker previously spent more than 12 years at a boutique insolvency practice in Guildford, which later became part of WSM. His sector experience includes construction, professional services and firms regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

The firm has 28 partners and more than 300 staff across its offices in London, St Albans, Rickmansworth and Milton Keynes. Walker will focus on providing pathways for unincorporated businesses, limited companies and individuals facing financial distress.

Walker said: “I am very pleased to join Mercer and Hole and look forward to working with a broad range of clients, including unincorporated businesses and limited companies, as well as individuals in financial distress. My focus will be on helping people and businesses who find themselves facing difficult circumstances, offering clear pathways through uncertainty.”

Joint managing partner Mark Cassidy added: “We welcome Shaun to the insolvency and restructuring team. Shaun brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in helping clients navigate what can be a very difficult and sometimes distressing time to help them achieve a clear way forward to allow them to move on.”
