TC Group has announced a merger with the Scotland-based MMG Chartered Accountants, in a move that will strengthen its presence in the country.

MMG operates from seven office locations, primarily serving Perthshire, Angus, and Dundee.

The merger integrates MMG’s regional operations into TC Group’s national network.

Additionally, the deal is intended to broaden the range of specialist services available to MMG’s existing clients while maintaining local partner-led relationships.

The move also provides MMG’s staff with career development opportunities within a larger national organisation.

TC Group provides a range of services including tax specialisation, legal services, financial planning, and accountancy, with a specific focus on owner-managed businesses and private enterprises.

Paul Crichton, partner at MMG, said: “Joining TC Group represents a natural and exciting evolution of our firm’s growth journey across Perthshire, Angus, and Dundee. By merging our local expertise with a national Top 18 firm, we are creating a wealth of new opportunities for our current and future staff to develop their careers within a diverse and supportive environment right here in the region.

“Crucially, this move allows us to significantly enhance our client offering; while our clients will keep the local, partner-led relationships they trust, they will now benefit from a much broader range of specialist services and technical resources.”

Shiv Shah, TC Group chief growth officer, added: “MMG’s clients can continue to expect the same relationship-led services they’ve come to value, with the opportunity to tap into other expertise and capabilities across TC Group. We also look forward to supporting the progression and development of MMG’s people as they continue to carve out their careers under the stewardship of the local partners.”
