Dodd and Co Chartered Accountants has appointed Martin Borradaile as partner at the firm’s Carlisle office.

Borradaile joined the firm in 2006 following the completion of his A-levels and subsequently qualified as a chartered accountant while training with the company. 

In his new role, he will take a leadership position within the audit practice, focusing on technical development and the implementation of emerging technologies.

His current portfolio includes charities, not-for-profit organisations, and family-owned businesses. 

He also manages clients operating under specialised regulatory standards, including academies, solicitors, and pension schemes.

The appointment follows the firm’s strategy of internal talent development. Dodd and Co, which was founded in 1981, operates from two main offices in Carlisle and Penrith and employs more than 180 staff.

Borradaile said: “I’m thrilled to join the partnership at Dodd and Co and delighted to have been offered this exciting opportunity. Having started my career here, it’s been an incredible journey, and I’m proud to continue working alongside such a talented team. I look forward to helping our clients navigate the future and achieve success in the years ahead.”
