S&W has expanded its business tax practice in the North West with the appointment of Andy Nixon as partner in its Manchester-based R&D tax team. The firm said the strategic hire reflects its “commitment to investing in specialist expertise and delivering exceptional value to clients across the region”.

Nixon brings over a decade of experience advising technology and financial services businesses on complex R&D tax credit claims. 

He previously worked at leading firms including Deloitte, EY, and Grant Thornton, where he supported companies in navigating the complexities of R&D tax relief and maximising opportunities for growth.
