Cooper Parry is expanding its audit practice across London and the South as the firm responds to growing demand from privately owned and high-growth businesses in the region. The audit team now comprises about 800 people nationwide, with 230 based in London and the South.

The firm said the expansion reflects its commitment to “delivering exceptional service and deep sector expertise”.

Among recent hires is audit director Sarah Harries, who joined in September from BDO UK. Harries specialises in private business and professional services, particularly law firms and partnerships. Her experience covers the Solicitors Accounts Rules, UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (GAAP) and the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) for limited liability partnerships.

Harries said: “Joining Cooper Parry felt like the perfect move in my career. I’m passionate about helping professional service firms operate with clarity, confidence and impact, and CP’s bold, innovative approach really resonates with me.”

She added that the firm’s focus on “driving meaningful change” and “delivering real value” made it an attractive environment for professional growth.

The firm has also promoted Callum Henderson to audit director for tech and high-growth businesses, 18 months after he joined Cooper Parry. The promotion forms part of what the firm said was its ongoing investment in developing internal talent.

Meanwhile, audit director Sakina Rashid, who joined the firm last year, continues to play a key role in supporting clients across the region.

Partner and regional head of audit Gary Staunton said: “We know growing businesses don’t just want an auditor who ticks boxes. They want a partner who understands their business, hits deadlines, and prioritises their audit. That’s exactly what we’re building in the South – a team of ambitious specialists who combine technical excellence with fresh thinking.

“Underpinned by Cooper Parry’s culture of innovation, we’re here to add real value, not just compliance. Our growth means more expertise, more sector knowledge, and more ways to help clients thrive.”
