Azets has announced the promotion of three senior members of staff to partner level at its Cardiff office, marking continued investment in its regional leadership team.

Andrew Isaacs and David Holden have been promoted to accounting and business advisory services (ABAS) partners, while Oliver John becomes tax partner within the firm’s specialist share advisory team.

Isaacs joined Azets as a trainee in 2007 and now works with small and medium-sized enterprises and owner-managed businesses across Wales and England. His clients span sectors including property development, professional services, healthcare, energy, manufacturing, engineering, retail and travel. His work covers compliance, business strategy, financial forecasting and cloud accounting aligned with Making Tax Digital.

Holden, a chartered accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, also became ABAS partner. He leads the firm’s regional Solicitors Regulation Authority review work and advises a portfolio of privately owned businesses across sectors such as manufacturing, engineering, research and development, and professional services. His expertise includes financial management, compliance and tax planning.

Meanwhile, John joins the Cardiff partnership team as tax partner, advising on tax issues linked to shares and shareholders. His work includes supporting clients with tax-efficient capitalisation through the Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) and Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS), employee share incentives, and exit planning for family-owned businesses. Before joining Azets, he worked in Bristol and London for a Big Four firm and later led the regional share schemes team at another national practice.

Richard Goddard, regional managing partner at Azets, said: “In total, we promoted 16 people in our Cardiff office, and seven in our Swansea office, which showcases our commitment to promoting talent from within the business.

“Each has demonstrated exceptional commitment, expertise, and ambition, and I’m proud to see their achievements recognised as part of our continued investment in people and growth across the UK.”
