PwC UK has named Rob Banham as its technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) industry leader and Warren Tucker as technology sector leader, as the firm looks to strengthen its presence across the fast-growing digital economy.
Banham, a consulting partner with more than 25 years’ experience, began his career at PwC as a graduate trainee and rejoined the firm in 2006.
He has led large-scale transformation programmes in the TMT sector, supporting clients in business redesign and technology adoption.
In his new role, Banham will lead PwC’s work with TMT clients to support growth and innovation.
Meanwhile, Tucker, who previously led PwC’s UK cloud, digital and engineering businesses, becomes technology sector leader.
He joined PwC in 2014 after 16 years with another global consultancy, where he served as managing director of a specialist TMT division.
He will oversee PwC’s technology sector work across the UK and collaborate closely with Banham and the firm’s alliances team.
The appointments come as UK technology investment continues to rise, supported by government initiatives such as the UK-US Tech Prosperity Deal and the AI Action Plan.
Banham and Tucker join PwC’s wider TMT leadership team, which also includes Ben Bird, media and entertainment leader, and Russell Taylor, telecommunications leader.
Banham said: “I’m thrilled to take on this role at such an exciting time for the TMT industry. Emerging technologies are unlocking extraordinary opportunities for innovation, transformation and growth. I’m eager to work with our clients and teams to help shape the future, driving impact, resilience and value across our industry.”
Tucker added: “With unprecedented investment flowing into the UK technology sector, I’m excited to lead PwC’s drive to help technology organisations grow faster, capture the value of AI and build competitive advantage.”
