PKF Smith Cooper has appointed Brendan Nightingale as senior transaction services executive as the firm expands its advisory team.

Nightingale joins from Derby-based Sibbalds, where he began as an apprentice before qualifying as a chartered accountant.

He has worked with small and medium-sized enterprises across sectors including manufacturing, construction and charities.

He will be part of PKF Smith Cooper’s transaction and advisory services team, which advises clients on mergers, acquisitions, disposals and other strategic transactions.

Nightingale said: “Joining PKF Smith Cooper has been an exciting time for me and has brought about a lot of new experiences already that I hope to continue expanding on in the future. I’m looking forward to getting fully into the swing of things and hope to be able to provide real value to both the team and our clients.”

David Nelson, senior partner at PKF Smith Cooper, added: “We are delighted to welcome Brendan to our growing transaction services team, and I look forward to seeing him develop in his role and strengthen our specialist team.”
