Accountancy network Kreston Global has launched a new member firm in Luanda, Angola, as part of its ongoing expansion across Africa.

The move is part of a joint initiative with Kreston Mozambique. The new office will be overseen by Dev Pydannah, managing partner of Kreston Mozambique, to ensure consistency in technical standards and client service.

The Angola firm will provide audit, advisory and tax services, with a focus on supporting businesses operating in the country’s developing economy.

The new office is also expected to strengthen ties between Portuguese-speaking economies within the Kreston network, supporting cross-border collaboration and providing local insight into regulatory and market conditions.

Kreston Global is a network of independent accounting firms with member offices in more than 100 countries.

Pydannah said: “Angola presents important opportunities for our clients across sectors, and the establishment of our presence here reflects Kreston’s strategy to strengthen our African network.

“We look forward to working closely with our clients in Angola, providing them with the trusted, relationship-led advisory and compliance services they need to succeed.”

Liza Robbins, Kreston Global chief executive, added: “We are delighted to see Kreston’s expansion into Angola, providing further strength to our African coverage and reinforcing our ability to support our clients wherever they do business.”
