Edinburgh and Dunfermline-based accountants Thomson Cooper has added seven new trainees to its team as part of the firm’s annual intake.

The new starters are Lia Fletcher, Rowan Speed, Kelda McKenzie, Andrew Aitken, Aaron Whiteford, Alina Botiz and Joanna Blackwood.

The recruits, drawn from schools, universities and industry, will work across departments including accounting, audit, outsourcing, insolvency and agriculture.

Their training will involve qualifications through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), with routes ranging from modern to graduate apprenticeships.

Each trainee will follow a tailored programme supported by senior colleagues, designed to build technical skills and encourage cross-department collaboration.

Alan Mitchell, managing partner at Thomson Cooper, said: “The new team members mark another step in our continued growth as a business. We look forward to providing a fully supported training and development programme to allow each to achieve their career training ambitions.”
