Begbies Traynor Group has appointed Michael Hall as director in its Exeter office to enhance and expand its insolvency, rescue and restructuring services for businesses across Devon and Cornwall.

Hall brings more than two decades of experience as a financial services professional to the business recovery, financial advisory and property services consultancy.

During this time he has advised businesses across the South and South West in a range of industries including hospitality, property, retail, construction, engineering, marine and financial services.

Based in the Begbies Traynor Group Exeter office and living in Cornwall, Hall will deliver a range of services to clients from informal and formal insolvency solutions to working with banks and lenders on refinance and growth.

Julie Palmer, regional managing partner at Begbies Traynor Group, said: “Devon and Cornwall has many promising and historic businesses across a number of industries. And whilst there is distress within some businesses, there is also significant promise within industries such as energy, agriculture, mining and construction.

“Mike joins the firm at an ideal time to support these businesses throughout their lifecycle and draw on his experience to help wind down, restructure or grow. I am looking forward to working with him and seeing clients benefit from his experience and knowledge.”

Hall added: “I am really excited to be joining the Begbies Traynor team at this time and I look forward to working with the current team, but also growing it in the future. There are many talented businesses and businesspeople across Devon and Cornwall who can benefit from the independent, commercial and rescue-orientated approach Begbies Traynor takes.

“With an established presence in the region covering the far western counties we can help with restructuring and financial services solutions for all companies regardless of size.”
