Azets-owned Blick Rothenberg has announced its plans to acquire Greenback Alan, which will be brought under the Blick Rothenberg brand, from 1 April 2025.

As part of the deal, Blick Rothenberg has welcomed new partners Jon Fisher, Yusuke Takanishi, Ian Rowe and Stephen Dabby.

Greenback Alan has built an “enviable” reputation and high-quality specialists in the Japanese market, which Blick Rothenberg believes represents an exciting opportunity.

The two firms both describe themselves as people-centric firms that encompass a ‘one team’ culture and collaboration across service lines and teams.

According to Blick Rothenberg, this cultural fit has been a key focus for the combined leadership teams and will enable “a positive experience” as the two firms come together”.

Nimesh Shah, CEO of Blick Rothenberg, said: “The coming together of our two leading international teams is our next step to our achieving our mission to be recognised as the #1 accountancy and tax advisory firm in London for international inbounds, the UK mid-market and private clients.”

Jon Fisher, deputy managing partner at Greenback Alan, added: “The move to Blick Rothenberg is a natural and empowering phase in the trajectory of the business, and a transformative opportunity for our clients.

“We are very much looking forward to realising the tremendous potential in the Japanese market and for all our clients.”
