PKF Smith Cooper is celebrating a successful cohort of promotions across six service lines, with 68 new starters joining throughout 2024 and 21 graduates joining across all departments, the biggest number seen to date.
Some of the firm’s promotions include Callum Leslie, who has been promoted to assistant corporate manager after making an impact in the corporate finance team since joining the firm in 2023.
In the audit department, Ali Raynor has been promoted to senior audit manager and David Erentz, winner of the ICAEW’s R J Weston Prize earlier this year, has been promoted to assistant audit manager.
The internal team has also been bolstered, with Lauren Birkhead promoted to business support manager and Will Quinn to assistant talent acquisition manager, strengthening the central operations of the firm.
During the past year, PKF has received consistent external recognition for its client services and workplace culture including receiving 14 shortlist nominations, and being named finalists for both Employer of the Year at the Accounting Excellence Awards and Corporate Finance Team of the Year at the Insider Midlands Dealmakers Awards.
Emma Lesley, learning and development manager, said: “I’m excited to support our newly promoted team members as they step into their roles and continue their development. On the promotion panels carried out, it was great to see the drive and passion they have for their personal development, and it is rewarding to know our learning and development team can support them in achieving their goals.
“We’re committed to providing tailored training and development opportunities to ensure their ongoing success, and I look forward to seeing the impact they’ll make in the months ahead.”
James Bagley, managing partner, added: “It is another huge cohort of promotions for the firm and a great reflection on the exceptional potential and calibre of our team members. I wish everyone the best of luck in their new roles, and I look forward to seeing them succeed in their new positions.”
