BHP Financial Planning has appointed Jonathan Lecomber as a new senior financial planner.
Lecomber brings more than 10 years of experience, most recently at Succession Wealth.
Regarding his appointment, he said: “BHP Financial Planning is a leading company offering expert impartial financial planning expertise and I’m looking forward to working with the whole team to further develop our offering and continue our success.”
His appointment is in addition to the recent internal promotion of Tim Clasper to the senior management team, as the firm looks to the future with more than £400m of client’s assets now under its management.
Clasper has worked at leading accountancy firm BHP’s financial planning arm since 2019 and has joined the senior management team following his completion of the PDW Management Academy.
BHP Financial Planning, which features a team of 28 and advises more than 500 clients including business owners, trustees and individuals, offers services ranging from investment, retirement and tax planning to trusts and estates advice.
Joy Clegg, managing director of BHP Financial Planning, said: “With 2024 marking 25 years since the establishment of BHP Financial Planning, I am immensely proud to have been part of the exciting journey we are on and the success we have experienced to date.
“As we move forward with our growth strategy, it’s important to ensure we have the right people in place and the next generation of talent coming through to lead the team and support our clients not just today but into the future.
He added: “Jonathan’s appointment helps us to achieve this, and we are delighted to have him on board alongside Tim’s deserved promotion. We continue to invest in the development of our brilliant team to deliver excellent service to our clients.”
“Alongside putting our longer-term succession strategy in place, we look forward to building on our close and collaborative relationship with the wider team at BHP. This includes working with chief information officer Melanie Foster and head of IT Andrew Hibberd to explore ways to harness the power of technology to support our clients’ objectives.”
