Damon Tunnicliffe, head of payroll at Duncan and Toplis, has been recognised in the Accountancy Age 35 under 35 list.

The list showcases the rising talent of the accountancy profession, featuring those who are making great professional contributions to both their individual firms and fields.

Earlier this year, Tunnicliffe was promoted to his current role and now oversees one of the group’s largest service lines at a “critical time” – as Duncan and Toplis embarks on its biggest period of growth in its almost 100-year history.

Tunnicliffe has been “integral” to the success of the growing team, leading them in managing a robust client portfolio of 1,300+ companies across a variety of sectors, processing over 24,000 payslips a month.

He is also a member of the Sage client advisory group, the Kreston Global Payroll Group, and the Association of Bureau Managers.

Additionally, Tunnicliffe serves as the finance director at Sleaford Town Football Club and holds the position of chairman at the South Lincs and Borders Cricket League.

Tunnicliffe said: “I am delighted to have been included in this year’s Accountancy Age 35 under 35 list, alongside such a talented group of individuals. It is an honour to appear and be recognised for my work in payroll.”

Damon Brain, chief executive officer at Duncan and Toplis, added: “It’s fantastic to see Damon feature in the Accountancy Age 35 under 35 rankings recognising his well deserved quick progression. We have ambitious plans for the coming years and I’m absolutely certain that Damon will play a key role in driving these forward.”
