Manchester-based Williamson and Croft has expanded its operations in Liverpool, following a merger with Knowsley-headquartered Musker and Garrett.
The two North-Western accountancy firms have merged to enhance both of their capabilities and broaden their reach.
As part of the deal, which was supported by HSBC UK funding, Musker and Croft will be rebranded under the Williamson and Croft banner.
Meanwhile, staff at the existing Williamson and Croft office in Liverpool, and from the existing Musker and Garrett office, will move to a new site on Old Hall Street later this year.
Daniel Moon, partner at Williamson and Croft, said: “We are thrilled to announce the completion of the merger with Musker and Garrett as we take this exciting step forward in our growth journeys together.
“This move enables us to enhance our capabilities and broaden our reach, empowering us to better serve the needs of clients in both Manchester and Liverpool.”
John Garrett, partner at Musker and Garrett, said: “We are very excited to be merging with such a like-minded firm. This merger will create a stronger and more diversified presence in Manchester and Liverpool.
“Our combined operation allows us to provide new service lines to our clients and reflects our commitment to excellence and innovation, ultimately driving growth and value for our clients.”
James Jones, relationship manager at HSBC UK, added: “This acquisition for Williamson Croft is a testament to the culture of the business and the dedication of its staff to provide client excellence. It’s fantastic to support the business with this investment and we look forward to seeing the company continue to grow in the future.”
