The board of Calculus VCT has appointed Moore Kingston Smith (MKS) as its independent auditor with immediate effect, following a formal selection process.
According to Calculus, the company has elected to change auditors to MKS as the board feels that MKS is a firm “more suited to the size of Calculus VCT”.
MKS has been appointed as the company’s auditor for the financial year ending 31 March 2024.
The re-appointment of MKS for the financial year ending 31 March 2025 will be subject to approval by shareholders at the next annual general meeting of the company to be held in 2024.
Prior to MKS, BDO was appointed as the company’s auditor.
Calculus said: “In accordance with Section 519 of the Companies Act 2006, the company’s previous auditor, BDO LLP, has deposited with the company a statement confirming that there are no matters to be brought to the attention of the company’s members or creditors. A copy of their statement will be made public alongside the publication of the half-yearly financial report.”
