Cross-border advisory firm Quantuma has appointed Steven Newbery as its new director of business development and client relations to its London office.
Newbery brings a wealth of experience in business development and practice management, with a particular focus on the legal sector.
Prior to joining Quantuma, he worked at some of London’s barristers’ chambers in a career spanning over 20 years in senior clerking and business development roles.
In his new role, Newbery will work closely with colleagues in the firm’s London Disputes, Investigations and Valuations practise in its delivery of expert witness and advisory, expert determination, valuation, investigation and eDiscovery services.
He will also work closely with Quantuma’s Insolvency, Corporate Finance and Tax teams to “amplify the firm’s market presence”.
Newbery will have particular focus on Quantuma’s services for the legal market, seeking to further build and develop relationships and deliver additional assignments within the legal sector.
He joins Quantuma’s London office, working alongside Gavin Pearson, UK lead of Disputes, Investigations and Valuations, as well as the rest of the managing director and director group, to develop the practice and further grow the team.
Newbery said: “I am delighted to have joined Quantuma to support further growth as the firm builds on its already impressive expansion. I was drawn to the quality and profile of work the Quantuma team undertakes, as well as the firm’s collaborative approach for its client engagements.
“My consistent aim is to enhance and innovate the client experience, so I look forward to using my legal sector experience and connections to make a positive impact on Quantuma’s continued trajectory of success.”
Gavin Pearson, Quantuma managing director and UK head of disputes, Investigations and Valuations, added: “I have known Steve for a number of years and am delighted to welcome him to the team and firm, to further enhance our capabilities. We have built a highly regarded Disputes, Investigations and Valuations team, and I am delighted that Steve has chosen to join us. I look forward to the contribution he will make in developing and growing our practice and the wider firm.”
