BHP has announced it has appointed Rachel Heath to director RI, after she received Responsible Individual (RI) status from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
Joining BHP as a trainee in 1997, Heath qualified in 2000. Following a brief time in industry, she then spent 10 years at another large accountancy firm before returning to BHP in 2014. She is now responsible for signing off a portfolio of the firm’s audits.
Heath is a member of BHP’s specialist Charities team, a trustee of Sheffield housing charity Target Housing and former trustee of Helen’s Trust.
Heath said: “I’m truly delighted to receive this promotion and I feel very honoured to be taking the lead on some of BHP’s key charity clients.
“I love working with organisations who have a genuine passion and commitment to making life better. I’m now really looking forward to continuing to support clients on their journey, as well as coaching and supporting the wider BHP team.”
Jane Marshall DL, BHP partner and Head of Charities and Not for Profit, added: “I have had the pleasure of working closely with Rachel and seeing her grow throughout her career.
“Rachel’s passion is in the charity sector, where she is highly respected by her clients and contacts. She has worked tirelessly to train and support trainees and managers in our Charities team and I’m looking forward to supporting Rachel through the next year as she starts her journey as an RI.”
