PwC UK has moved its Thames Valley operations to a new 41,000 sq ft office at One Station Hill, relocating 650 employees from Forbury Place.
The firm occupies the fifth and sixth floors of the development, which is situated opposite Reading Station.
According to PwC, the workspace is designed for agile working and includes smart lockers, wellbeing rooms, and a rooftop terrace.
On-site amenities for staff include a 60-person gym and secure cycle storage. This relocation follows 13 years at the firm’s previous Forbury Place site and aligns with a shift toward flexible, digitally enabled office environments.
The Reading office is the first PwC UK location to target both BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Platinum accreditations. The fit-out emphasises carbon reduction and human health standards.
Gareth Murfitt, Reading market senior partner at PwC UK, said: “Opening our new Reading office at One Station Hill marks a milestone for PwC and underlines our commitment to the Thames Valley region. Reading is an increasingly attractive hub for investment and talent. This space has been designed to foster collaboration and wellbeing, while aligning with our sustainability and net zero ambitions. By bringing our people together, we’re reinforcing our presence in the region.”
Carl Sizer, chief markets officer at PwC UK, added: “Reading has long been an important city for PwC and our move to this new building underscores our ongoing investment in the area. Our offices across the country connect our people to the places our clients operate – bringing local understanding and national reach.”
