HaysMac has appointed Phil Clayton as a partner in its private client tax team, effective 16 March 2026, as the firm looks to expand its advisory capabilities.
Clayton specialises in providing tax advice to business owners and management teams. He manages tax structuring for disposals, takeovers, and succession planning throughout the business lifecycle.
He also provides guidance for sports professionals and entertainers. His remit includes advising on global endorsements, sponsorships, and personal tax planning for high-profile clients.
In his new role, Clayton will focus on delivering “proactive, tailored” tax advice for complex transactions, supporting clients’ growth and exit strategies, enhancing estate and personal tax planning solutions, and mentoring young tax advisory talent.
