Accounting and business advisory firm Saffery has appointed Steve Preston as audit partner at its Leeds office.
Preston previously spent three years as head of the Manchester office for Armstrong Watson and worked at BDO in Leeds for 15 years.
He has experience working with AIM and fully listed businesses, owner-managed firms, and private equity groups across the manufacturing, hospitality, and technology sectors.
His technical expertise includes working with international group structures under International Financial Reporting Standards and UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice.
Preston also specialises in the real estate sector, providing audit services to property investment companies, housing developers, construction firms, and serviced office providers.
Saffery moved its Yorkshire operations to Wellington Place in 2024 and currently employs more than 70 people in Leeds, including six partners.
The firm was founded in 1855 and employs more than 1,200 people across nine offices in the UK.
