StarBox has advised The Fellas Studio on its sale to Global, marking one of the most significant acquisitions to date in the UK’s creator-led podcast sector.

The Fellas Studio, known for producing some of the most widely followed Gen Z shows in the UK, has built an audience across YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and social platforms. Its programmes are recorded in purpose-built sets that reflect each show’s style. The partnership with Global is expected to support further expansion of its podcast portfolio.

Nick Tebb, StarBox partner, said: “This deal is a fantastic milestone for the StarBox team and is testament to the talent and drive of the founders of The Fellas Studio and our close working relationship with them. For 12 years, we’ve been immersing ourselves in this fast-paced and unique sector, honing our skills.”

Tebb said the firm combines corporate finance and tax support with specialist knowledge of the creator sector. StarBox founder and consultant Sam Uwins, who has worked with The Fellas Studio for several years, said the company’s founders had shown strong creative and commercial momentum.

Callum Airey, chief executive and co-founder of The Fellas Studio, added: “The future of this space is incredibly exciting. With Global sharing our ambition and drive, and with StarBox providing us with invaluable advice and support, we are confident about what lies ahead.”

Chief creative officer and co-founder Josh Larkin added that the business had grown into a leading UK podcast production house and that the deal would help scale operations.

StarBox, part of Carpenter Box, advises about 500 UK creators, influencers, app and game developers, production studios and performers.
