Professional services network Forvis Mazars has announced the appointment of 10 new partners across its UK offices, in a move it said reflects investment in talent and leadership development.
The appointments include four staff who began their careers with the firm, as well as one senior external hire. The partners cover a range of services including audit, tax, financial planning and technology.
Among the promotions, Mark Saldua has been made partner in audit quality, while Mandi Dosanjh joins as an external appointment focusing on audit services. The firm said the changes underlined its emphasis on quality and client service.
In London, the new partners are Karishma Merchant, who co-leads the infrastructure and energy valuation practice; Josh Thorneycroft, who heads debt advisory; Paul Simmons, leader of the financial planning team; Saldua in audit quality; Robbie White, who oversees innovation and digital skills; and Dosanjh, who will specialise in auditing mid-market firms.
Merchant rejoined the firm in 2021 after a period in industry, while Thorneycroft returned in 2022 having first joined in 2013. Simmons has been with the firm since graduating in 2013, Saldua became audit quality director in 2022, and White joined in the same year to establish the innovation function and data analytics hub.
Outside London, Richard Tidball has been promoted to partner in the Midlands, specialising in corporate tax services for mid-market clients, restructuring, insolvency and the non-profit sector. In Milton Keynes, Tommy Cooke, who began as a trainee in 2009, has been promoted for his work leading large and listed audits. In Newcastle, Simon Withington, who joined in 2021, has been appointed partner in technology assurance and will continue to lead the national technology and digital consulting strategy.
In Scotland, Sean Cockburn has been promoted to partner in private client tax advisory, having joined the firm in 2017 after more than a decade in legal practice, with a focus on international and cross-border taxation.
James Gilbey, UK chief executive of Forvis Mazars, said: “These appointments reflect our commitment to developing talent, attracting top professionals, and building high-performing teams whose expertise delivers an unparalleled client experience.”
According to the firm, these appointments highlight both long-term career progression for those who started at Forvis Mazars and the value of external expertise in strengthening its audit, tax and consulting services.
