Xeinadin has appointed Zoe Powell as its director of travel, hospitality and leisure.

In this role, Powell will lead Xeinadin’s first dedicated regulatory advisory service for travel firms, a “significant” expansion of the firm’s support for travel businesses.

She joins from the Civil Aviation Authority, where she spent two and a half years overseeing financial assessments of the UK’s largest ATOL holders.

A banking and finance specialist with more than a decade of experience, Powell will lead the growth of the travel, hospitality and leisure division.  Her role includes providing hands-on support to clients preparing for ATOL renewal or a change in control, navigating Package Travel Regulations (PTR) compliance, and managing broader regulatory obligations. Zoe will advise on securing finance and planning for growth.

Powell said: “Regulation can feel like a barrier, but it doesn’t need to be. I’m here to help firms meet their obligations while supporting their broader commercial goals. It’s rare to find a firm willing to build that expertise into its core offer and Xeinadin is doing just that in the Travel sector. I’m thrilled to be driving it forward.”

Jonathan Wall, partner at Xeinadin and head of travel, added: “Zoe brings clarity to an area that’s often opaque. Her background in both banking and regulation gives her the intuition to support clients through the kind of financial and operational challenges that most accountancy firms never reach.

“This brings a clear advantage for our clients and reflects how we’re evolving as a business. Zoe is a fierce addition to our team and will play a key role in fashioning how we continue to support the Travel sector.”
