HaysMac has announced the appointment of Tim Walford-Fitzgerald as its new private client director.

Walford-Fitzgerald previously spent many years in senior roles at a mid-tier accountancy firm and is widely recognised for his thought leadership on private client tax issues, frequently contributing commentary to national and trade media.

He brings over two decades of experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families, entrepreneurs, and business owners on a broad range of personal tax and trust matters.

He specialises in complex UK tax planning, including individuals with international aspects to their lives.

At HaysMac, Walford-Fitzgerald will play a key role in the growth and strategic direction of the private client and trusts team.

The team is known for its deep specialism in advising high-net-worth individuals, international families, business owners, trustees, and landed estates.

Natasha Frangos, managing partner, said: “Tim brings deep expertise and a commercial mindset that will add real value to our clients and our team through his approachable manner. His appointment reflects our continued investment in building one of the most trusted and dynamic private client teams in the market.

“As we continue to grow, we’re focused on attracting leaders who align with our purpose: For business. For people. For good. Tim shares our belief that private client work isn’t just about technical accuracy but long-term relationships, personal integrity, and making a positive impact for the people and families we serve.”

Walford-Fitzgerald added: “I’m excited to be joining HaysMac at a time of such momentum. The team’s reputation for technical excellence and deep client relationships aligns closely with my approach, and I look forward to contributing to its continued success.”

The appointment follows the recent appointment of Graeme Privett as private client partner.
