Professional services group S&W has appointed Tom Lewin as a partner in its advisory team to launch and lead a new financial services deal advisory arm within its corporate finance offering.
Lewin joins from Investec Bank, where he was a managing director and established the firm’s financial services and fintech mergers and acquisitions team.
He brings more than 20 years of experience across M&A and capital markets, including public and private deals, strategic advisory, restructurings, equity raising and hybrid capital issuance.
He has worked with public and private companies and private equity funds across financial services and related sectors, with a focus on growth and tech-enabled businesses.
He has previously been a partner at a Big Four firm and held roles at Barclays and Rothschild.
Based in London, Lewin will develop S&W’s financial services advisory proposition over the coming months.
Lewis said: “I’m delighted to join S&W to establish and lead the financial services deal advisory business. Following the recent investment from Apax Partners, this is an exciting time to join one of the UK’s fastest growing professional services firms and I look forward to working with my new S&W colleagues to deliver a holistic advisory proposition to our clients.”
Stuart Goodman, head of corporate finance at S&W, added: “Tom brings a wealth of financial services experience and delivers fantastic outcomes for clients. Financial services is a key sector for S&W and, with the recent investment from Apax Partners, an area of continued focus for further investment. We are very pleased to have Tom onboard to support and drive our continued growth plans.”
