Forvis Mazars has appointed Hermione Bonthuys as an Accounting and Outsourcing (AOS) partner in its London office.

Bonthuys will focus on expanding accounting advisory services for mid-market firms, working closely with Forvis Mazars’ Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) team.

She will lead complex accounting compliance assignments and play a key role in advising FRS 102 clients as they transition to the latest reporting standard.

Bonthuys qualified in audit at a Big Four firm before establishing her own technical advisory and training practice, which she has grown “significantly” over the past 16 years. She has supported high-profile clients with IFRS and FRS 102 technical accounting and reporting, IFRS conversions, and implementations.

A frequent speaker at industry events and seminars, she has also delivered technical workshops and training throughout her career.

Matt Stark, head of Accounting and Outsourcing, Forvis Mazars in the UK, said: “I am delighted to welcome Hermione to the firm as a partner. Her expertise will strengthen our ability to deliver high-quality, technically complex work to both existing and new clients.”

Bonthuys added: “I’m pleased to join the team at such a pivotal time of growth for Forvis Mazars. The firm’s commitment to technical excellence and client service is evident, and I look forward to contributing my expertise as we expand our advisory offering and support clients through complex accounting challenges.”
