Elements Europe names Interpath as administrators

Interpath has revealed its managing directors Sam Birchall and Steve Absolom were appointed as joint administrators of Telford-based Elements Europe on 4 June 2025.

Elements Europe, founded in 2005, specialises in off-site volumetric design and manufacturing of room modules and bathroom pods for residential developments, student accommodation and hotels across the UK.

The company previously acted as a subcontractor, but in 2021 expanded into principal contracting, taking on two construction projects: the East Road project in Hackney, east London, and the Camp Hill project in Birmingham.

Both contracts incurred losses and created a significant cash shortfall, prompting the directors to seek sale, investment or refinancing options. When a solvent outcome proved unviable, the company was placed into administration to protect creditors’ interests.

Of the firm’s 217 employees, 76 have been retained to assist the administrators with their duties.

Birchall said: “Sadly Elements Europe has not been immune to the headwinds facing the construction sector. Our intention is to pause work on the ongoing contracts at East Road and Camp Hill whilst we explore options to rescue all or parts of the Elements business.”

Absolom added: “As a priority, we will be providing support to those employees who have been impacted by redundancy. We are also seeking buyers for the company’s assets, and would invite interested parties to make contact with us as soon as possible.”
