MHA Corporate Finance has acted as reporting accountant for Bowen Fintech regarding its acquisition of Minnadeooyasan-Hanbai Co. Ltd (MOH) for £34.5m. Bowen Fintech, now renamed MOH Nippon following the deal, acquired 97.41% of the issued share capital of MOH from Kyosei Bank Co (KBC).
MOH is a leading crowdfunding platform for real estate investment in Japan, having raised around £1.45bn over the past 16 years. In addition to its platform, MOH also has access to a pipeline of real estate opportunities as part of the KBC group of companies.
Following the result of a general meeting held this month, its shares have now been admitted to the official list and main market of the London Stock Exchange.
The MHA Corporate Finance team was led by head of Capital Markets, Robin Stevens, as well as Corporate Finance partner and head of Transaction Services, Rob Dando.
They were supported by a “strong and experienced” international team, to help deliver specialist due diligence and reporting accountant services to facilitate the acquisition and admission to the main market.
Stevens and Dando said: “It has been a pleasure to lead this transaction for MHA, working alongside our dedicated team, our excellent fellow advisors and a highly focused and determined client and target. We very much look forward to assisting the company, as the enlarged team implement their exciting growth strategy.”
