Evelyn Partners has announced the appointment of John Howarth as audit partner in its Bristol office.

Howarth’s main focus during his career has been working with mid-market businesses across a range of sectors.

He has extensive Big Four experience having been a partner at EY and before that at PwC. During that time Howarth spent six years based in New Zealand. Most recently he was director of group finance at Future in Bath.

Howarth joins the Bristol office of Evelyn Partners which is gearing up to relocate later this year from its current Bristol premises at Portwall Place to the new EQ development next door.

Howarth said: “I am very excited to be joining the Evelyn Partners team in Bristol. It was important to me that I chose a firm whose values and ambitions match my own. Right from the start, Evelyn impressed me with their culture – by putting people first. I am looking forward to working with such a talented team and being able to support the exciting private companies based in the South West.”

Sancho Simmonds, head of Assurance and Business Services at Evelyn Partners, said: “I’m delighted to welcome John to our fast growing audit practice. John’s extensive experience working with dynamic mid-market businesses aligns well with the significant growth ambitions we have as a firm across our national audit practice.”
