Shaw Gibbs has announced that it has completed its acquisition of Nottingham-based firm DNG.

DNG is an independent chartered accountants that has a client-base ranging from private individuals to partnerships, charities, and large companies.

This acquisition is the fourth that Shaw Gibbs have made in the last six months, resulting in a 260 person-strong practice based over six offices located in: Oxford, Basingstoke, Farnham, London, Northampton and Woking.

As a result Shaw Gibbs will now offer a comprehensive suite of accounting services, including tax planning, audit and assurance, outsourcing and business advisory services.

Ian Robson, managing partner of DNG, said: “The partnership team at DNG have considered the opportunity and benefits of entering into a strategic relationship for some time. We have worked hard over the years to develop the way in which our business operates and to evolve our culture and core values.

“We want to continue the business without wholesale changes but, recognise that targeted contribution and support will help us flourish, both as a team and individually. It was important to us to find a practice to collaborate with who ticked-off all of our requirements. We are confident we have found this in Shaw Gibbs and we look forward to a bright future together.”

Peter O’Connell, managing partner of Shaw Gibbs, added: “DNG has a well-earned reputation for delivering exceptional service having operated in the Northampton area for more than 50 years. Their enthusiasm for their ongoing success and opportunity for growth has shone throughout the deal process. We are really looking forward to working with this talented team.”
