SRLV has announced the appointment of Jai Vora as its new partner who is to lead the firm’s film and TV division, as well as the expansion of its tax relief services for the creative industries.

Vora has worked in several senior tax advisory roles over the past 12 years and joins SRLV from EY, where he was director of creative industries.

His previous experience also includes advising national and international film and television franchises, as well as West End theatre productions.

In his new role, Vora will be responsible for the firm’s growing portfolio of film and TV production clients, while also extending its range of creative tax relief services for digital, video games, professional orchestras, museums and galleries.

He will also be working alongside SRLV’s affiliate company, Above Title Production Finance (ATPF), for the theatre sector.

Vora said: “SRLV is one of the leading accountants for the creative and entertainment industry. Our clients include some of the most influential artists, producers and creatives worldwide, and it’s a privilege to be working with them as part of the SRLV and ATPF teams.

“I’ll be adding to the team’s existing tax relief expertise in film, TV and theatre, so we can offer advice across all creative industries to include digital, video games, professional orchestras, museums and galleries. This bespoke advisory service will be available to both new and existing clients.”

Stephen Cornford, partner at SRLV, said: “We are thrilled to announce Jai joining the firm as a partner. Jai will complement SRLV’s existing services and our ATPF theatre team. By covering all creative industry tax reliefs, he will expand on our existing skill set so we continue to offer the very best client service and industry leading expertise.

“Having worked alongside Jai previously, I knew he would fit in perfectly here and as well as drive the division forward, bring a sense of calm and comfort to clients operating in this fast-paced industry.”
