Headquartered in Salisbury, Berry provides scalable solutions to over 16,000 users

BDO’s mergers and acquisitions team has advised Berry Technologies Group, a UK-based Telecoms company, on its successful sale to Babble Cloud Limited.

Headquartered in Salisbury, Berry provides scalable solutions to over 16,000 users. The company offers a variety of business phone systems, ranging from IP phones to PBX systems, call recording and marketing scripts.

The acquisition of Berry is the latest deal in Babble’s buy and build track record, following the acquisitions of Yorkshire Telecom/Biscuit IT, as well as ADSI.

Berry Technologies Group was advised by BDO’s team, which provided sell side lead advisory to the shareholders. The lawyers to Berry Technologies Group for this deal were Paris Smith. Babble was advised by James Cowper Kreston and Gateley.

Duncan Lamb, partner at BDO, said: “We were delighted to support Paul, Simon and Jo-Anne on the sale of Berry Telecom Group to Babble. The transaction creates an exciting partnership for both companies by combining Berry’s fantastic reputation in the telecoms sector with Babble’s scale and UK-wide capabilities. The combined business has very exciting growth plans and we look forward to seeing the partnership achieve their ambitions.”

Paul Hallam, shareholder and director of Berry Technologies Group, added: “We are very grateful for the support of Duncan, James and Sam. Their hard work, dedication, persistence, and experience were invaluable in getting us through the process and delivering a superb outcome for the shareholders and the business going forward.
