One Four Nine Group has announced the launch of its Tax Efficient Alternative Investment panel to all of its locations and advisers, with due diligence support from independent investment research firm Hardman and Co.

The panel, which was established following a “comprehensive screening” of product providers and fund managers, deploying a differentiated diligence and assessment criteria, will allow the group’s suitable clients to invest in small-cap/unquoted companies that benefit from the tax underpinning that is enshrined in legislation.

The One Four Nine panelled solutions are delivered by a variety of carefully selected fund managers and include investment opportunities in the Government backed Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS), Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS), Venture Capital Trust (VCT) plus non-AIM Business Relief (BR) arrangements.

Matthew Bugden, CEO, said: “We firmly believe in the benefits that can come from tax efficient small-cap investing for the right client, but the expertise required to access alternative investments is not always readily available in the wider IFA sector.

“One Four Nine is uniquely positioned to alleviate the administrative, due diligence and regulatory burden of identifying suitable product providers and solutions, as well as helping our advisers understand when a client’s risk profile could benefit from investing in the UK small-cap market.”
