Xeinadin Group acquires Scott and Wilkinson

Xeinadin has more than 1,500 employees across the UK and Ireland, and is one of the professional services market’s leading disruptors and consolidators, with annual revenues of over £100m in its latest financial year

Xeinadin Group has announced its acquisition of Scott and Wilkinson, an established accountancy firm based in Lancaster.

Xeinadin is a group of business advisory and accountancy practices in over 100 locations across the UK and Ireland that provides over 40 service lines to over 50,000 clients. The business specialises in small and medium-sized businesses.

It was formed through a merger of the offices in 2019 and is now structured into 14 regional hubs.

Scott and Wilkinson is reportedly one of the longest-established accountancy practices in the Lancaster and Morecambe area, and dates back to 1918. The firm, which has operated under its current name since 1968, will continue to be led by the existing management team and be based out of its office on Dalton Square, Lancaster.

Its clients span many sectors including charity, retail, professional, farming, healthcare, leisure, as well as tourism, manufacturing, technology, and construction.

The acquisition reportedly brings additional strength to Xeinadin’s owner-managed business specialism and existing service lines.

Following a significant minority investment from private equity firm Exponent earlier this year, this acquisition marks “another step in the continued growth of the group”.

Xeinadin has more than 1,500 employees across the UK and Ireland, and is one of the professional services market’s leading disruptors and consolidators, with annual revenues of over £100m in its latest financial year.

Derry Crowley, CEO of Xeinadin Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome Scott and Wilkinson to the Xeinadin Group. The firm is directly aligned with our vision and will provide even greater strength to our North West Region. We look forward to working alongside the Scott and Wilkinson team.”

James Cornthwaite, director of Scott and Wilkinson, added: “Xeinadin is an ambitious and innovative group in the UK and Ireland professional services landscape and one which we are excited to be joining.

“Being part of the group will give our clients access to even greater resources and expertise, whilst enabling us to continue providing the local and personalised service which our clients both value and have become accustomed to.”
