Deloitte Digital names new leader

Deloitte has appointed Colin Jeffrey as the new lead partner of Deloitte Digital in the UK. In his new role, he will oversee 1,200 experts in technology, creative design, research, data and strategy. Jeffrey takes over as leader of the UK Deloitte Digital practice from Sam Roddick, following his appointment to global head of Deloitte Digital. Jeffrey is a founding member of Deloitte Digital, and he has been with the firm for over 12 years. Throughout his career, he has specialised in the design and build of digital commerce platforms. Most recently, Jeffrey held the role of lead partner for consumer in Deloitte’s consulting practice, overseeing the retail, consumer products, automotive and travel, hospitality and services sectors. Globally, Deloitte Digital employs more than 25,000 experts across 60 countries. With teams now based across London, Bristol, Belfast, Manchester and Edinburgh, the practice’s headcount is expected to double to 2,400 people by 2025, with new roles to be introduced across the country. All in all, Deloitte Digital, which is part of Deloitte’s wider consulting business, has grown tenfold in the UK over the past decade, with dedicated teams now focusing on the metaverse, inclusive design, digital advertising and data science. Jeffrey said: “We started Deloitte Digital in 2012 with 120 people, building digital platforms and tools at a time when consumers were more likely to access the internet from their browser rather than their smartphone. Today, we have grown to a team of 1,200 people, with a spectrum of expertise that mirrors the diversity of the UK’s digital sector.” Roddick added: “Launching Deloitte Digital allowed us to usher our clients into a new age of digital transformation and we continue to introduce businesses to technologies and platforms which are the genesis for new products, customer interactions and, ultimately, business growth. “Colin’s impact has continued to ensure that Deloitte Digital thrives, attracting extraordinary people into our teams and amazing clients through our doors. I’m looking forward to seeing his impact over the next decade in Deloitte Digital’s evolution, and beyond.” Anne-Marie Malley, managing partner for consulting at Deloitte, said: “Under Colin’s leadership, the team will continue to grow and provide organisations with a huge array of digital capabilities in strategy, innovation, design, technology, operations, and data insights to help them achieve their transformation goals.”
