MSI names Andrew Leck as CEO

Commencing the role from 21 July 2021, Leck succeeds the outgoing Tim Wilson, who leaves the association following a seven-year stint as CEO

MSI Global Alliance (MSI), the international association of independent accounting firms, has announced the appointment of Andrew Leck as its new CEO.

Commencing the role from 21 July 2021, Leck succeeds the outgoing Tim Wilson, who leaves the association following a seven-year stint as CEO.

Leck joins the group from a position as associate partner and business development leader for Scotland at Big Four firm EY.

During his time at EY, Leck was responsible for the growth and go to market strategy, supporting a range of clients across numerous sectors.

George Crowther, director on the MSI board, said: “Andrew has a track record of successful business development, innovation and strategic leadership.

“His international business experience and detailed knowledge of the professional services sector, combined with strong leadership and communication skills, make him a great fit for MSI Global Alliance and we are delighted to welcome him as our new CEO.”

Peter Abels, also a director on the board, added that he is “absolutely convinced” Leck will “prioritise the interests” of both MSI members and their clients in the role.

Prior to EY, Leck gained over two decades of experience in the accountancy industry across a range of roles such as training, consultancy, and leading market growth.

He said: “I am excited to be joining MSI Global Alliance, a thriving and successful association that is focused on creating value for its member firms and their clients.

“I look forward to working with MSI members across the globe to strengthen partnerships and explore new growth and development opportunities.”
