Dains, a Midlands-based firm of accountants and business advisers, has announced the appointment of Mohamed Esat as a director of cloud accounting at the group.

In the new role, Esat will join the recently established DAINSevolve team, while bolstering the firm’s cloud technology offering.

He provides the position with experience in a range of areas, including management accounts, forecasting, budgeting, strategic advisory support, financial performance insights, and business advisory support.

Working across a variety of sectors, Esat also has expertise in working with “growing, ambitious, and entrepreneurial businesses”.

John Southwell, partner at Dains, said: “Mo is exactly the type of person we were looking for to take on the role of head of cloud accounting and fits our ethos perfectly.

“His passion is providing insights into the performance of the business to support and shape business decisions through automation and technology and providing real-time and robust information to support the business and advise clients at every stage of their development.”

Esat joins the firm from business advisory and accountancy group Cooper Parry, where he acted as a senior manager for six years.
