EY has announced the promotion of 830 employees to partner across the globe, representing its largest ever group of new partners.
Some 41% of the new appointments came in America, with 35% occuring in EMEIA and 24% in the Asia-Pacific region.
The group’s assurance arm contributed to the largest number of partner promotions with 270 (33%), of which 220 are within EY’s audit division.
A further 25% came in the company’s consulting operations, with 23% in the tax department, 17% in strategy and transactions, and 2% in business support.
Set to commence their roles in early July, EY claimed that women represent 34% of the new partner promotions.
Carmine Di Sibio, global chairman and CEO at EY, said: “Congratulations to all new EY partners around the world for this exceptional achievement. Each one of them has reached this milestone under difficult circumstances, which is a testament to their leadership and commitment to EY values.
“The success of the EY organisation is made possible by these diverse leaders and their promotion is the result of their dedication to their clients, teams and the EY purpose of building a better working world.”
Trent Henry, global vice chair of talent at the company, added that the new cohort “bring their diverse experience and skills” to better serve the group’s clients, while “remaining focused on the broader EY ambition to create long-term value for all”.
