Kingsley Napley appoints new partner to private client team

Laura Harper advises both UK resident and non-domiciled individuals, families and trustees on a wide variety of UK tax, trust law and international estate planning issues, including the planning to be undertaken when moving to or from the UK

Kingsley Napley has announced that Laura Harper has joined its private client team as a partner, with immediate effect.

Harper advises both UK resident and non-domiciled individuals, families and trustees on a wide variety of UK tax, trust law and international estate planning issues, including the planning to be undertaken when moving to or from the UK.

She also has expertise in charity law and advises family offices and UHNW individuals on how to structure their philanthropic projects in the most tax efficient manner, as well as charitable entities on their responsibilities as the beneficiary of philanthropic gifts.

Harper joins the firm from the London office of McDermott Will and Emery where she was a member of the international tax advisory team in the private client department for the last three years.

She is a fully qualified member of STEP and has completed the STEP Advanced Certificate in UK Tax for International Clients.

Harper said: “I am excited to be joining Kingsley Napley given its culture, client base and the opportunity to help grow its Private Client practice. This role is a great fit for me and my skills and is a perfect next step in my career.”
