Menzies, accountancy, finance, and business advisory firm, has announced a merger with Masons Accountants, a Slough-based accountancy group.

Working with a range of businesses and individuals, Masons provides business accounts, taxation, and business advisory and support services to its client-base.

As part of the deal, capacity will be added to Menzies’ Heathrow office so as to accommodate Masons’ three partners and wider team.

Peter Gorman, partner at Masons, said: “Quality and service has always been the hallmark associated with our firm and we believe joining Menzies will add to and expand that quality of service, which will be available to all our clients moving forward.”

Operating over an annual turnover in excess of £40m and with more than 400 employees, Menzies will continue to specialise in its current eight core business sectors.

Julie Adams, managing partner at Menzies, said: “This merger represents a logical next step on our growth trajectory and Masons’ advisers will be a valuable addition to our Heathrow team.”

She added that while the deal has been in the works for a substantial period of time, it was “clear from the outset” that Masons would represent a good fit for the growing firm.
